Appropriate footwear includes clean sneakers or trainers that provide adequate support, grip and flexibility. Bare feet, socks, slides, sandals, boots and school shoes are not permitted unless otherwise approved by the tutor for specific dance activities.

3. Injuries, Illness & First Aid

3.1 Students and parents/caregivers must inform Management of any relevant injuries, medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect safe participation.

3.2 Management may request medical certificates, physiotherapy reports or written medical clearance to assess a student's ability to safely participate in dance activities. Students must comply with any restrictions or recommendations provided by their healthcare professional. These documents will be kept private under our privacy policy.

3.3 Students with significant injuries must not participate in physical dance activities until medically cleared or otherwise deemed safe to return under appropriate professional guidance.

3.4 Competition students who are injured may still be required to attend scheduled training sessions for observation and learning purposes, provided attendance is medically appropriate. Injured students must not physically participate in activities that may aggravate their injury.

3.9 Medication, including over-the-counter pain relief, must not be administered to students under 18 without prior written parent/caregiver consent. Any medication administered must be appropriate for the student, given in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and documented by Management. Staff may decline to administer medication where safety concerns exist.
